DMSS stands for Digital Marketing Skill Share. Every year, for four days, DMSS brings together marketers, tech entrepreneurs, and remote workers to discuss digital business strategies in Bali, Indonesia. The conference is composed of networking events, workshops, and lectures from some of the biggest names in tech. With over 40 speakers, 60 workshops, and the island’s inspiring atmosphere, DMSS has become an unmissable event in the world of digital marketing.
In 2020 we partnered with DMSS as an official sponsor of the event. Our collaboration began after working on their new website and ticketing system. We provided the conference with a complete redesign of their online platform, the tools to make changes self-sufficiently, and a flexible ticketing system that would allow for different packages to be purchased by attendees. We created a sophisticated platform that could be adapted to any type of event, but which would also be simple enough to update for a non-technical person.
Despite all our efforts to create a great user experience for the conference attendees, 2020 didn’t go as planned. The COVID-19 pandemic struck unexpectedly and DMSS was rescheduled for 2021. DMSS developed a series of Masterminds as an alternative. Masterminds are intimate retreats where small groups of marketers and entrepreneurs can come together and share their knowledge in exclusive locations.
Challenge
Developing a flexible ticketing system that would allow attendees to buy tickets for their friends, add hotel bookings, and an individual selection of events and workshops.
